Jet2.com and Jet2holidays celebrates five years of flying from Birmingham Airport
- Leading leisure airline and tour operator marks the important milestone with celebration at the base

30th March 2022: Jet2.com and Jet2holidays celebrated five years of operating award-winning flights and package holidays from Birmingham Airport in style today, by waving customers off with a birthday-themed celebration.
Customers on today’s flights from Birmingham Airport to Faro, Alicante, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Paphos, Malaga and Tenerife were given the type of VIP customer experience at check-in that has resulted in the companies winning multiple awards. This included a red-carpet welcome, a balloon arch and a number five shaped birthday cake, which was sliced and handed out to customers before departing to their destinations.
In addition to that, five groups of lucky customers were also given a free pair of Jet2.com flight vouchers.
Today’s celebration marks five years since Jet2.com and Jet2holidays started operating from Birmingham Airport in 2017. Since then, the companies have experienced substantial growth and success, with over 5 million customers having travelled on either a flight with Jet2.com or a package holiday with Jet2holidays from the base.
