RyanAir Launches Record Birmingham Winter 2016 Schedule
Ryanair, Europe’s number one airline, today (30 Mar) launched its biggest ever Birmingham winter schedule for 2016 with a new route to Sofia, 4 new winter services to Madrid, Murcia, Verona and Vilnius, and more flights to Barcelona, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Malaga, Malta and Tenerife.
This will deliver 1.9 million customers per year and support 1,400* jobs at Birmingham Airport, as Ryanair grows by 45%.
Ryanair’s Birmingham winter 2016 schedule will deliver:
- 1 new route to: Sofia (3 wkly)
- 4 new winter services to Madrid (4 wkly), Murcia (2 wkly), Verona (2 wkly) & Vilnius (2 wkly)
- More flights to: Barcelona (daily), Fuerteventura (2 wkly), Gran Canaria (2 wkly),
Malaga (5 wkly), Malta (3 wkly) & Tenerife (4 wkly)
- 21 routes in total
- 1.9m customers p.a. (+600,000, 45%)
- 1,400* “on-site” jobs p.a.
UK consumers and visitors can choose from 21 Birmingham routes in winter 2016 and can look forward to further improvements, as Ryanair continues to grow strongly, while improving its customer experience through the “Always Getting Better” programme, which includes more new routes, a new app, new cabin interiors and new crew uniforms.
