Czech Airlines Announces Birmingham-Prague from April 2016

Czech Airlines has become the eleventh new airline this year to announce that it will launch flights from Birmingham Airport.

Commencing flights to Prague five times a week from April 2016, the flag carrier for the Czech Republic will deliver an additional 50,000 passengers through the airport a year and open up more connections through Eastern Europe.

 

The schedule, commencing on Friday 22nd April 2016, will be as follows:

Mondays and Sundays: arrives into Birmingham at 1230 and departs at 1310

Wednesdays and Fridays: arrives into Birmingham 1700 and departs Birmingham 1740

Thursdays: arrives into Birmingham at 1920 and departs at 2000

The five weekly flights will be operated by an Airbus A319 aircraft, with a 10 business class and 120 economy cabin configuration. Seats are now on sale starting from GBP 117 return (including taxes and surcharges), to book go to www.czechairlines.com

William Pearson, Birmingham Airport’s Aviation Development Director, said: “Prague is a brand new route from Birmingham so we are delighted that Czech Airlines has confirmed they will launch services from Birmingham and also introduce this key destination for both business and leisure travel, and to connect onwards beyond Prague to Czech Airlines’ network.

“We know from CAA data that 30% of the passengers travelling to Prague from our one hour catchment travel for business reasons so we’re pleased that Czech Airlines will offer business class on the route.”
