Turkish Airlines Celebrate International Cabin Crew Day at Birmingham Airport

Turkish Airlines recently celebrated International Cabin Crew Day at Birmingham Airport, by rewarding their hardworking staff with goodies on board a flight back from Istanbul.

The airline got into the spirit of the day by presenting cabin crew with chocolates, flowers, a book of Shakespeare's plays and a selection of Orchestra of the Swan CD's from Mozart to the lesser know Austrian composer Hans Gal.

Local children from the Birmingham area boarded the Boing 737-800 aircraft on Sunday 31st May, to surprise the crew with gifts just after it landed from Istanbul.

Selim Ozturk, Turkish Airlines general manger at Birmingham Airport, said: “We wanted to do something really special for our staff to celebrate the day with them. Our crew is vital to the continued success of our airline and we are constantly told how fantastic our people are from passengers.

"We wanted to show them that we appreciate everything they do to make our customer’s journeys enjoyable and stress free. The children really enjoyed the experience and our crew were delighted to receive their gifts.”

Turkish Airlines operate 12 flights per week out of Birmingham Airport, meaning passengers can travel to over 274 locations via Istanbul.

The Airline's superb staff has helped them to achieve some very prestigious awards in the airline industry. They have been voted Europe’s Best Airline for 4 years in a row and their food has won best in Business Class catering 2015.
