Regus Express Lounge At Birmingham Will Turn The Airport Into An Office

An agreement between Regus and Birmingham Airport will see a new Regus Express Lounge open at the Airport later this year. The Lounge will offer instant office or meeting space for anyone arriving at or departing from the airport. Business people and mobile workers will need no longer struggle to work or meet in noisy concourses or lounges when doing their jobs on the go.

The Regus Lounge at Birmingham will feature meeting rooms and a business lounge, with secure wifi, access to office facilities such as printers and scanners, free refreshments and professional admin support. Both domestic and international passengers will have access to work facilities just minutes from their check-in desk or arrival area.

The agreement with Birmingham Airport is the latest milestone in the roll-out of Regus’ Thirdplace concept - professional workspaces and office facilities at places where business people and mobile workers pass through in daily life. The deal at Birmingham Airport follows the launch of Regus Express facilities at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports, as well as motorway service stations, shopping centres and retail parks across the UK.

Phil Kemp, Global head of Thirdplace at Regus, commented: “Technology gives people 24/7 access to the office, but they still find their productivity disrupted by the lack of a professional place to work or meet away from home or the office. The growing Regus Express network remedies this issue.

“With our launch at Birmingham Airport, air travel here will become much more productive. People will be able to meet a colleague, or prepare for a meeting whilst waiting for a flight, or when they fly into the airport. By growing our Regus Express network across the UK’s airports, we’re helping air passengers use their time and technology more effectively.”

Richard Gill, Birmingham Airport’s Head of Commercial, said: “With more than nine million passengers a year, and a growing number of business passengers opting to use Birmingham Airport, we want to provide the best facilities for people who need to work whilst they are travelling through the airport. Our agreement with Regus, to open a Regus Express Lounge at the Airport, will support this aim. Regus are uniquely experienced at supporting mobile workers and anticipating their needs, so we’re delighted to announce this partnership, and we look forward to the launch later this year.”
