If you want to travel by public transport, you will find bus and coach services running directly to the airport. Trains will take you to Birmingham International train station, which is connected to the terminal by a free and frequent Air-Rail link with a travel time of just minutes.
Those driving to the airport will find a choice of seven car parks, which are all easily accessible from the terminal by foot or via the free courtesy shuttle bus. Book a parking space online in advance or maybe at the same time pre-book entry into one of our five airport lounges, which offer complimentary food and drinks and unlimited WiFi.

Arriving at Santorini Airport
Santorini Airport is one of the biggest and busiest airports in Greece. It’s well connected with other major Greek cities and islands, as well as with major European capitals and cities, via charter flights.
There are several ways you can transfer from the airport to the city centre. The airport bus stop is located outside the terminal building and buses to the city are frequent. You can buy your ticket directly from the driver with Euros. Journey time is around 35 minutes. If you are staying in the Old Town, it’s a 5-minute walk from where you will be dropped in the centre.
If you’d prefer to take a taxi, you will find a taxi rank at Arrivals. Alternatively, you could hire a car for your stay.

Santorini enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, sunny summers and mild, rainy winters. The daily average temperature ranges from 12 °C in January and February to 27 °C in August.
Culture in Santorini
One of the best-preserved medieval settlements in the world, the atmospheric Old Town of Santorini has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the city’s main attractions. Here you will discover a maze of cobbled streets that will transport you back to the days of the Byzantine Empire and beyond – every stone tells a story.
Discover the city’s history at one of the popular museums. The Archaeological Museum and Museum of Modern Greek Art are popular among locals and tourists. Head south from Santorini to the picture-perfect town of Lindos, capped by an ancient Acropolis, and sugar-cube houses that spill down to a turquoise bay.
Greek food is some of the freshest and most flavoursome of all cuisines, and you can sample the best of it in Santorini. Nibble on their delicious appetizers such as pitaroudia (fried chickpea-balls with chopped mint, onions and tomato), zucchini-balls and stuffed cyclamen leaves with lentils.
