The airport is very accessible whichever way you want to travel to it. Arriving at Palma Airport
Palma Airport serves the island of Mallorca and is just 8km from the city of Palma. The airport has one terminal, so is easy to navigate, and there are plenty of onward travel options from Palma Airport into Palma city. Buses are a convenient way to travel and are available outside the Arrivals Hall. Bus route 1 departs every 15 minutes and runs to the centre of Palma and the Palma Port. Route 21 departs every 30 minutes and has a few more stops available along Palma Beach. Further buses are available from Palma for those travelling to other destinations across the island of Mallorca. For a door to door service, choose a taxi or hire car.

What to expect in Palma

If you’re visiting during January, you may be lucky enough to experience Fiestas de Sant Sebastia, Mallorca’s biggest annual festival. A two-week celebration of the city’s patron saint, the fiesta brings everyone together for bonfires, shared meals, live performances and traditional dancing.
What makes Spanish cuisine so special is that each region has its variations. Some of the favourites in Mallorca are sobrassada (spreadable cured sausage) and ensaïmada (a sweet pastry made with pork lard).
