Departing from Birmingham Airport

If you prefer to take public transport, you will find bus services running directly to the airport and Birmingham International Airport train station. The free Air-Rail link from the station takes you straight into the terminal in less than five minutes.

Arriving at Berlin Airport

Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER)  has its own railway station directly below the terminal. So you can change from the airplane directly and comfortably to the rail.

In addition to several regional and suburban trains, a fast connection to the city centre is also ensured by various express buses and airport shuttles.

Be sure to visit the popular food markets in Berlin's market halls and try out street foods from all over the world. Currywurst is a matter of national pride for Berliners and must be tried. Grilled sausage with a sauce containing ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and curry powder. Other specialities include spätzle, Königsberger Klopse and of course, bratwurst.

If you’re visiting in August, check out Berlin’s International Beer Festival, a 3-day folk festival celebrating Germany’s national drink. The festival is home to the world’s longest beer garden. With 344 breweries from 87 countries, presenting 2,400 brands of beer, the 2.2-kilometre stretch runs from Strausberger Platz to Frankfurter Tor.
