Visiting Sydney for the first time? 

First words to come to mind when you mention Sydney. Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. You can walk across the bridge or if you’re feeling more adventurous, you can climb the bridge! Markets are great in Sydney for the alternative shopper. Whether you’re looking for food, clothing, art or anything in between, make sure you check one out. If you’re a bit of a foodie, then Everleigh Market at the Carriageworks is the one for you - it provides the freshest seasonal produce from the best growers and producers. 

Darling Harbour is a precinct on Sydney’s waterfront, that’s home to museums, theatres, a zoo and aquarium, exhibitions, and many entertainment venues. Just a short 10 minutes from the centre, try and visit in the day for activities and sunshine and the evening for great nightlife and dinner!

Sydney is a beautiful city, but it is also home to a stunning coastline. Coastal walks allow you to take in the breath-taking natural beauty of Australia. Try Palm Beach in the north all the way to Cronulla, you won’t regret it!

Lake Macquarie is just under two hours away by car from Sydney. With lots to discover, including hiking and water activities it’s a beautiful escape from the fast pace of the city.

Want to know a secret?

For the best views of the city, especially at night, adventurous travellers should take the time to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb. You’ll be strapped into a harness connected to a series of cables as you scale the bridge. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views of the city and the ultimate photo-op.
