Visiting Mumbai for the first time? 

Gateway of India is the most iconic structure in Mumbai. It was built in 1911 to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary on their visit to India. It overlooks Mumbai Harbour and consists of a large arch with a central dome, which is supported by four intricately decorated turrets. It’s a must during a visit to Mumbai.

Dhobi Ghat is the world’s biggest open-air laundry. An estimated half a million pieces of clothing from throughout the city are brought here to be washed, dried, and ironed every day. It’s right in the heart of the city and is a pretty impressive operation so worth a quick visit and partake in a spot of people watching.

Mumbai is known for its designer shops and malls, however, if you’re after a bargain then check out one of the many markets in Mumbai. Try Zaveri Bazaar, Mumbai’s renowned gold market, accounting for more than half of the country’s gold trade!
