There are a number of roles you can apply for at Birmingham Airport, these include:
Apprentice Compliance and Safety Officer
In this role you will learn to apply compliance and safety standards in accordance with the requirements set by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). You will learn and assist in identifying risks, providing assurances and processes for corrective actions and improvement at the airport.
Apprentice Motor Transport Technician
The Apprentice Motor Transport Technician will learn to service and maintain a fleet of petrol, diesel, electric vehicles, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems including; SUVs, fire tenders, buses, grounds plant (such as mowers, tractors etc) and steps and lifts.
Apprentice Airfield Technician
The Apprentice Airfield Technician will learn to carry out maintenance and installation work on Airfield electrical and mechanical equipment together with civils structures or surfaces.
Apprentice Electrical Engineer
The Apprentice Electrical Engineer will learn to carry out maintenance and installation work on all Terminal electrical and mechanical equipment together with civils structures or surfaces and much more.
Apprentice Baggage Engineer
In this role you will learn to carry out maintenance and installation work on all Terminal Baggage Systems, including all related electrical and mechanical equipment plus more.

At Birmingham Airport whilst you'll report to a manager and you will also be given a dedicated mentor to guide you on your journey.

Our Apprenticeship Scheme Delivery
There are different ways apprenticeships can be delivered, some of our apprenticeships require attendance at education establishments on a regular basis whilst other training providers offer on the job assessments and remote support via online learning.
Each apprenticeship will have a set criteria that needs to be met in terms of experience in the workplace, and we work closely with our apprenticeship partners to ensure that you get the support needed to assist you in your journey.
Professional qualifications are achieved through apprenticeships, and range from Level 2 to Level 7 (equivalent to a Master's degree) depending on the chosen scheme.
