1995

Airport Company publishes an Airport Master Plan 'Vision 2005' with a plan period to 2005.

Airport Company submits an Outline Planning Application for the expansion of the passenger terminal facilities and related infrastructure to the Local Planning Authority, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

1996

Outline Planning Permission granted, subject to an extensive number of Planning Conditions and a Section 106 Planning Agreement.

2000

Airport Company publishes first Airport Surface Access Strategy.

2003

Airport Company submits a Planning Application to extend the life of the Outline Planning Permission until 2008.

2004

Planning Permission granted subject to amendment of the S106 Agreement.

2008

Planning Application to extend the existing runway and associated infrastructure works submitted to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

2009

Planning Permission granted subject to a Section 106 Planning Agreement.

Planning Application to develop a hotel and car park at the Elmdon Terminal Site submitted to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

2010

Planning Permission granted subject to conditions.
